Taxicab Guide
#1.  You will find that taxis are only located at a few hotels and major attractions.  You will have to call for a taxi to find one.  Hailing a taxicab in
Buena Park is almost unheard of.

#2.  It is better that you call a cab yourself, than ask hotel or attraction staff to do this for you.  Unseemly competitors may provide "tips" to hotel staff in order to win their business.  This may result in overcharges to compensate for this illegal practice.

#3.  Reserve your taxi for longer trips and call on demand for other trips.  The response time in the city is around 5 - 15 minutes.

#4.  If you have a group larger than 4 persons, you should always ask for a minivan.  Minivan taxicabs fit up to six.  Do not expect to put more than six persons in a vehicle.  There is a hefty fine to the driver for this and it is unsafe as there are only six seatbelts.

#5.  If you have small children, you will have to carry a car seat.  Taxis are not required to have these for you.  You are responsible for this.  As of the creation of this site, it is the adult passenger's responsibility to put the child in the appropriate child safety seat, as far as known as the authors knowledge.

#6.  Check airport and travel websites for proper booking, travel and extra time to meet your flight ONTIME.  There may be unusual security conditions in effect.  Typically, a trip to Orange County Airport will take about 30 minutes and a trip to Los Angeles Airport will take about 45 minutes.  This is with no accidents or traffic.

#7.  Check with airports and airlines about the recommended time to allow for in the planning of your taxicab trip.  Better early, than late !
